Hawthorne Academy instruction is based on principles of the award winning curriculum, Core Knowledge, which encourages the engaging culmination of literature-rich background knowledge for mastering the ability to problem-solve and think critically. Core Knowledge provides hands-on opportunities, vibrant discussions and project-based learning.

Hawthorne Academy founders believe that students, after experiencing literature-rich curriculum, are more advanced in all areas because their critical thinking skills are flourishing. In addition, all grade levels will learn a foreign language daily and comprehensive enrichment classes in arts and sciences. Middle school children will be enrolled in higher level math classes in Algebra and Geometry too.
